The Forgiving Yourself Five-Minute Christian Meditation

Minute 1: Start the meditation timer. While counting slowly, inhale with your nose, and exhale with your mouth. Relax your shoulders and jaw.

Minutes 2, 3, and 4: Continue the same breathing pattern while meditating on the three verses. Close your eyes after you memorize each verse

Minute 5: End with a brief prayer.

About Forgiving Yourself

It can be harder to forgive yourself than to forgive others. You may know in your head that God has forgiven you, but perhaps you don't feel it in your heart. The Five-Minute Christian Meditation may be a tool that can help you forgive yourself.

For this meditation we chose three verses:

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. They are new every morning.

Lamentations 3:22, 23

There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16 NKJV

We know that God forgives us when we repent of our sins. Now is the time to accept the truth God has forgiven you. Our prayer is that this meditation tool will help you.
